Job Summary As a Sales Specialist you will welcome and engage current and prospective Pella by Horne customers in our Traverse City Experience Center (aka customer product showroom). Through building quick rapport, you will identify customer needs and apply your knowledge of product and business processes to earn trust and provide solutions. Your ultimate goal is to develop repeat and new business for our outside sales representatives. Primary Responsibilities 1. Greeting current and prospective customers in our state-of-the-art showroom in Traverse City, asking questions to learn about their window and door needs and desires, and enthusiastically sharing information and demonstrating through physical and digital displays how our Pella products can meet their needs. 2. Various daily sales tasks including scheduling product deliveries, preparing estimates for product orders, and service coordination. Also various tasks that support the operation of the showroom facility. 3. Assisting our outside sales representatives in planning and executing customer events in our Pella Experience Center. The Successful Sales Specialist will… Be confident, social and outgoing. Work with a positive attitude and a passion for helping others. Listen with interest, empathy, and attention to detail. Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, one-on-one and to small groups. Understand and respond to non-verbal communication cues. Be tech and people savvy. 2+ successful years in a customer service or sales role. Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Salesforce or other order management system preferred. Since you are the core employee on-staff at the Experience Center during opening hours, you must be able to consistently work Tuesday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm.
