This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their sales career who is eager to learn, build relationships, and develop deep product knowledge. You'll spend time on the showroom floor supporting clients, assisting senior sales staff, building quotes, and learning the fundamentals of lighting and design sales. Over time, this role develops into a full Account Executive position with ownership of your own book of business. This is a structured growth role with a clear path forward. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Showroom Support Welcome and assist clients and trade professionals in the showroom Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships Support Account Executives during consultations Learn how to confidently engage architects, contractors, designers, and electricians Product Knowledge & Training Complete internal training on lighting products and systems Earn manufacturer certifications (company-funded) Develop working knowledge of lighting, controls, and furnishings Stay current on new products and technologies Quoting & Sales Support Build accurate quotes using company systems Assist with product research and specifications Support Account Executives through the sales process Learn order flow from inquiry to project completion Career Development Build relationships that grow into future client accounts Participate in a structured development plan Develop the skills required to transition into a full Account Executive role
Qualifications Required:
Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to learn technical product knowledge Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Comfortable interacting with new people daily Ability to adapt to new tools and systems Reliable attendance and professional presence Preferred (Not Required): Experience in retail, showroom, or client-facing roles Interest in architecture, construction, interior design, or lighting Exposure to trade industries or construction environments
