Full Job Description Job Description:
As an Account Executive, you will drive business through the construction contracting tiers and grow our end-user client base. Our projects cover a wide range of sizes and vertical markets, from classrooms to museums to hospitals. You will have ownership of the full sales process, including lead generation, proposal response, and closing activities. Next Level is a team environment - we utilize the skills and relationships of our diverse team to work together to provide the best possible results. It is common to collaborate with other sales executives and operations talent on a sales pursuit. You will thrive in this position if you can apply your drive, technical aptitude, competitive spirit, and client focus to a well-rounded sales strategy.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and expand relationships with Mechanical Contractors and General Contractors with the goal is to become a valued extension of their team and win work together. Engage with MEP consulting engineers and act as their trusted advisor. Provide technical advice and layout projects to become the basis of design for new builds. Target owners and end users outside of the current Next Level customer base. Provide technical and business recommendations for consultants and design build contractors. Prospect and qualify new sales opportunities. Maintain and work to a sales plan to hit annual goals. Estimate project costs and write proposals based upon MEP plans and specifications. Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to provide cost-effective proposals and a foundation for successful execution of a project. Keep up to date with current technologies offered in the marketplace and how they can positively benefit our clients. Actively participate in trade associations and organizations to network and expand NXL's presence in the marketplace. Create and deliver sales presentations for project interviews, new technology releases, etc. Maintain involvement in projects after the sale is closed, including kick-offs with operations and follow-up with the client. Collaborate with Service Account Executives to properly turn-over new construction projects, expand NXL's footprint in their facility, and ensure client satisfaction. Create and implement account management plans. Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Construction Management, or other related studies is excellent but not required. Three years related experience in sales, construction, or technology. Other technical experience such as military, on the job training programs, etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management. An understanding of basic computer systems including MS Office Suite of products. Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Proficiency in basic computer systems, including the MS Office suite of products. Passion to continuously develop and improve selling skills. Self-motivated.
Essential Functions:
Be able to lift and carry drawings, personal computers, material, etc. Maintain a satisfactory driving record, which, per NXL's vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle or receive auto allowance.
