WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Sales Executive is responsible for generating revenue for Indianapolis Motor Speedway by selling, renewing, and creating premium experiences and hospitality opportunities surrounding the Month of May, Brickyard 400, and other premier events held at
IMS. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate revenue for IMS by selling premium assets for racing events held at IMS which include, but are not limited to: Suites Hospitality Midway Activations Club Tickets & Packages Car Corrals Garage Space Official Partnerships Generate revenue for IMS by selling venue space for special events and private gatherings. Continually evaluate current and potential inventory to develop new revenue streams. Work with team and leadership to maximize revenue opportunities and enterprise profitability. Cultivate and maintain new and existing relationships and negotiate renewals. Be responsible for administrative responsibilities including contract generation, client record keeping in CRM, expense report compilation, etc. Assist client services team with customer-related issues. Identify and resolve client concerns by researching issues and working with IMS internal teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal IMS teams, focusing especially on client services, partnerships, legal and credentials. Prepare timely, creative, relevant, and accurate presentations, activity reports, and special projects as assigned. Conduct continuous, creative prospecting for new, local, regional, and national customers. Identify sales prospects and proactively contact these and other accounts assigned. Attend IMS races and special events, as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Leadership:
This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL
Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Candidate must be able to work overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Extended hours required during race weekends and key event periods (especially May) Our teams work together to create flexibility that supports life in and out of work
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and must be able to be understood. Must have the stamina to work long hours and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends or evenings. Occasional work outdoors requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold, rain and other conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in both an office environment and outdoors, and in close proximity to other workers. Employees will be exposed to those conditions normally encountered in a business office environment. Employees are faced with frequent interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, due to professional racing events.
