Sales Executive Location:
Michigan or Surrounding States (Remote with Travel) We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to drive business growth within the flexible packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and generating profitable revenue growth across food & beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), cannabis, pet food, coffee, tea, and manufacturing markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and outbound sales efforts. Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and account management. Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, brands, co-packers, converters, and other industry stakeholders. Present and sell flexible packaging solutions, including stand-up pouches, lay-flat pouches, rollstock, custom films, and related packaging products. Assess customer packaging requirements and recommend customized solutions that align with operational and business objectives. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve revenue and growth targets. Manage customer accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership development. Identify opportunities for account expansion, upselling, and cross-selling additional products and services. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements while maintaining profitability objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution, product delivery, and customer support. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities. Travel regularly to meet with customers, conduct presentations, attend industry events, and strengthen business relationships. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and pipeline activity using CRM systems.
Qualifications:
3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within flexible packaging, manufacturing, or industrial sales. Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets. Experience selling flexible packaging products such as stand-up pouches, rollstock, custom films, or related solutions. Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. Ability to manage a sales territory independently and prioritize business development activities. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and account management abilities. Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time. Existing relationships within packaging, food & beverage, CPG, cannabis, pet food, or manufacturing industries are highly preferred.
