This role is built for someone who enjoys being in the field, opening doors, building relationships, and turning conversations into long-term accounts. You will call on flooring installers, contractors, home flippers, developers, restoration companies, and other trade partners across the Detroit Metro area, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan. This includes key markets like Lansing, Grand Rapids, and surrounding communities. You will sell both flooring materials and installation services, typically together. If you are comfortable building pipeline from scratch, staying active in the field, and working a commission plan that rewards consistent activity and results, this role could be a strong fit. What You Will Do Prospect, develop, and grow a book of business across the Michigan territory Build relationships with flooring installers, contractors, flippers, developers, restoration companies, and other trade partners Generate opportunities through field activity, store visits, referrals, networking, and targeted outreach Quote and sell flooring materials and installation services, primarily as a combined package Develop new business in the Detroit Metro area while also expanding relationships across Lansing, Grand Rapids, and surrounding markets Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to scheduling and installation Track pipeline, activity, and next steps in the CRM Represent the company professionally at stores, job sites, partner locations, and customer meetings Stay organized while managing multiple opportunities across a large territory What You Bring B2B sales experience in flooring, construction, remodeling, restoration, home services, or related trades Hunter mindset, with confidence creating your own pipeline and staying active daily Ability to speak credibly about flooring products, installation, contractors, and job-site needs Practical flooring knowledge is a strong advantage Strong communication, consistent follow-through, and comfort managing multiple opportunities at once Basic CRM proficiency and comfort with email, quoting, and routine reporting Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfort driving a territory that includes Detroit Metro, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and surrounding Michigan markets Self-motivation and the ability to manage your schedule without needing constant oversight Work Setup and Schedule Mostly field-based across the Michigan territory Some office time as needed Full-time role Standard weekday schedule, with flexibility based on contractor and partner needs Some early morning or late-day calls may happen based on job site and contractor schedules Territory includes Detroit Metro, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan Compensation and Benefits Base salary of $35,000 to $40,000 Uncapped commission paid as a percentage of revenue from sales you bring in Typical additional earnings of $30,000 to $80,000 based on performance Company vehicle program provided Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, eligible after 90 days 401(k) with employer match, eligible after 90 days PTO Life and AD&D insurance Additional life products available at group rates How to Apply Apply with your resume.
