This role will grow sales and market share of Workspace Solutions (Scott Rice and NexSpaces) by prospecting, networking, and engaging with customers directly. Account Executives are expected to act as the strategic account manager across all business divisions within the company, including Furniture, Services, Architectural Products, Millwork, Flooring, and Technology. The position requires a strong presence in the market and with customers, with the expectation that 25% of business is self-driven.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage all aspects of client accounts across multiple divisions to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
  • Actively engage in new business development through relationship building, cold & warm calling, networking, and leveraging referrals.
  • Be highly visible in the market and with customers to promote Workspace Solutions' full suite of products and services.
  • Ensure 25% of business is self-driven through independent prospecting and relationship-building efforts.
  • Maintain close contact with key influencers within both new and existing accounts to drive opportunities.
  • Develop deep knowledge of Workspace Solutions products and services, applying that expertise in the sales process.
  • Participate regularly in key industry events and networking activities to build relationships and promote company offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal divisions, including Design, Project Management, and Operations, to develop and deliver strategic solutions that meet client needs.
  • Work with vendors to understand product offerings, negotiate terms, and ensure availability.
  • Keep accurate client and project data for both new opportunities and closed business in CRM. (These duties do not preclude performance of other jobs that may be assigned.) Personal and organizational skills:
  • Strong ability to interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams, and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Proven sales ability, with experience in business development, client management, and strategic selling.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently make decisions.
  • Must be self-motivated, assertive, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.
A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
