$60,000 base salary with a target OTE of $140,000+, featuring uncapped earnings, performance accelerators, and long-term income opportunities through renewals and account growth. The Role RMT is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Regional Account Executive to own and grow our presence across the Northeast United States.
This is a territory-building role focused initially on developing market density across the Tri-State region, New York. and Boston before expanding throughout the broader Northeast territory. This role is designed for a proven closer who understands the pace and complexity of Business-to-Government (B2G) sales. You will manage your own pipeline from top of funnel through close, with the support of a growing marketing function. The VP of Sales has been actively managing this territory part-time and will support the transition. The ideal candidate is coachable, tenacious, and skilled at building relationships with municipal decision-makers. If you have a track record of hitting quota in B2B or B2G environments and want to own a territory at a company with real momentum, this is the role. You Will Own and grow a defined Northeast territory with an initial focus on New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and the Greater Boston area Source net new opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails Travel throughout your region to conduct meetings, demos, and follow-ups with prospects and clients Manage a full sales cycle — from prospecting and pipeline development through proposal, negotiation, and close Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, and generate meaningful engagement with municipalities and government agencies Deliver tailored online and in-person demos of RMT's SaaS platform to agency stakeholders Maintain and expand your database of prospects using HubSpot CRM Develop and present customized proposals and sales collateral to clients Partner with internal teams and channel partners to build pipeline and close deals Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts Stay informed on product updates, industry trends, and competitive landscape Basic Qualifications At least 2 years of B2B or B2G sales experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota Proven outside sales experience; ability to manage a pipeline without SDR support Experience with SaaS solutions and technology-driven selling environments Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Proficiency in HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Office, and web-based presentation tools Ability to travel throughout the assigned region Must reside in the territory Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to municipalities, public agencies, or government entities Familiarity with infrastructure, asset management, or public works environments Experience selling into Northeast municipal markets (New York, New England, Mid-Atlantic) Exposure to pavement condition, roadway management, or geospatial platforms Experience operating within a startup or early-growth sales environment Compensation & Logistics Base Salary:
$60,000 On-Target Earnings:
$140,000 (base + commission) Commission:
