Regional Account Executive Hagerstown, MD 21742 Hybrid work From $50,000 a year - Full-time From $50,000 a year - Full-time Somerset Fire Alarm and Security, LLC is areas leader in the design, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm, security, access control, and camera systems. Our continued success and growth has produced a need for an Regional Account Executive. The primary function of this position is to promote and sell our services to commercial clients. Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet those objectives. Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives. Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers. Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that will support the sales plan. Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.
How you will do it:
The Regional Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing existing and new customer relationships within the assigned territory. This role plays a key part in driving business growth by providing expert consultation on life safety and security solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. The Regional Account Executive acts as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating with internal teams to deliver quality service and compliance-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Business Development Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their life safety and security needs. Develop and execute account plans to grow the business with key clients. Identify new business opportunities through proactive engagement with existing, new, and dormant accounts. Drive inspection renewals, service agreements, and system upgrade opportunities. Serve as the main liaison between the client and internal teams to ensure clear communication and responsive service. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics. Provide product demonstrations and technical guidance on life safety and security systems such as fire alarms, video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection. Coordinate with installation, service, and design teams to ensure projects are completed to customer satisfaction and on time, within budget, and adhering to customer and regulatory requirements.
Administrative & Reporting:
Complete mandatory daily CRM updates to ensure all activities, contacts, opportunities, and forecasts are accurately recorded each business day. Promptly respond to all lead generation inquiries and participate in all meetings scheduled through the lead generation program, ensuring consistent follow-up and professional engagement with prospective clients. Track and report daily metrics. Communicate with the team on customer and project changes during daily huddles. Provide regular reports on sales activities, opportunities, and forecasted revenue to senior management. Stay informed about the latest products, technologies, and regulations related to fire and life safety products. All other related duties assigned by your manager. Qualifications and Skills Excellent communication skills; have the ability to persuade and close sales. Ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during sales process. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience in a technical or business sales discipline preferred. One to three years of sales experience in a related business with a proven successful record of accomplishment that is verifiable. This position is commission-based and offers significant earning potential for motivated sales professionals. Compensation Structure At 100% of annual quota attainment , the annual commission payout is $42,900 . There is no cap on commissions , meaning earnings can exceed $42,900 if quota performance surpasses 100%. At 50% of quota attainment , the commission payout is $21,450 . Examples Quota Attainment Commission Earned 50% $21,450 75% $32,175 100% $42,900 125% $53,625 150% $64,350 This uncapped commission structure rewards high performance, allowing top performers to substantially increase their earnings by exceeding quota expectations. The more business you generate, the more you earn—with no maximum limit on commission payouts.
