A.N. Webber Logistics, Inc. is a multi-modal logistics solutions provider headquartered in Kankakee, IL with an additional location in Chandler, AZ. We specialize in connecting shippers with high quality carriers to optimize their supply chains and streamline logistics operations. We're seeking a motivated and skilled Logistics Sales Executive to join our dynamic team and drive our growth.
Job Description:
As a Logistics Sales Executive at A.N. Webber Logistics, you will be instrumental in driving new business and expanding our market presence. Your role will involve identifying potential clients, developing strong relationships, and providing tailored logistics solutions that meet their needs. If you have a passion for sales, a strong understanding of freight brokerage, and a drive to succeed, we want you on our team. The perfect candidate for this role is local to the South-Chicago/Kankakee area, and can join the team in the office 2-3 days per week. We are not considering fully remote candidates at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and target new business opportunities within the freight brokerage sector. Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and grow our client base.
Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers. Understand their logistics needs and provide customized solutions that address their challenges and objectives.
Sales Execution:
Conduct sales presentations, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts. Close deals and achieve sales targets to contribute to the company's revenue growth.
Market Analysis:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Use this information to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
Customer Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure the successful execution of logistics solutions and seamless service delivery.
Reporting:
Track and report on sales activities, performance metrics, and business development efforts. Provide regular updates to management and recommend strategies for improvement. CRM Experience and Managemen t - this candidate will work directly with the President to transition our sales team onto a new Customer Relationship Management tool.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 2 years of sales experience in the freight brokerage, logistics, or supply chain industry. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving business growth.
Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and sustain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of freight brokerage operations, including transportation logistics, carrier management, and supply chain solutions.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. We prioritize experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with freight management systems and logistics software is a plus.
