Job Description
Position Summary The Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing and cultivating client relationships, promoting RxPreferred's services, and driving client growth and retention. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging deep pharmacy benefit management expertise to develop strategic account plans, oversee renewals, support implementation activities, and ensure exceptional service delivery. Role and Responsibilities Serve as the primary strategic relationship manager for assigned clients and act as a trusted advisor on pharmacy benefit programs and industry developments. Develop and execute client-specific business plans designed to achieve retention, satisfaction, and growth objectives. Align account strategies with client business goals and clearly demonstrate the value and impact of RxPreferred programs and services. Lead and facilitate discussions with client executive leadership and key stakeholders. Conduct regular client meetings to review benefit plan performance, pharmacy utilization trends, financial performance, and strategic opportunities. Develop and present renewal strategies, including financial analysis and plan design recommendations. Lead the request for proposal process, including proposal development, response management, and finalist presentations. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service. Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Coordinate internal resources and cross-functional teams to address client needs and resolve escalated issues. Support implementation and onboarding efforts for new clients. Stay informed on PBM market trends and communicate impacts to clients. Mentor and support junior account management team members. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Minimum 3 years managing a book of business. Minimum 5 years of PBM, healthcare, or health insurance experience. Strong relationship management, presentation, project management, and negotiation skills. Proven track record of client retention and growth. Ability to travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications Direct PBM experience. Understanding of claims processing, formulary management, rebate programs, and pharmacy benefit strategy. Familiarity with HIPAA requirements.
