Job Description

The Big Picture Let's be honest: most sales job postings are boring. They list 45 bullet points about "synergy" and "cross-functional communication." That's not us. At Peterson Media Group, we are a locally owned media powerhouse operating four high-profile radio stations across Southern Middle Tennessee— Thunder Radio
WMSR, 93.9
The Duck, Rooster 101.5, and Whiskey Country 105.1 and 95.9 —plus explosive local sports inventory (like the Vol Radio Network) and high-demand digital platforms. We don't just sell commercials; we provide local businesses with a massive toolbelt of growth solutions, including custom website builds and Google/SEO optimization. We are sitting on a goldmine of inventory, and we need a driven Account Executive to go capture it. The Reality Check (Read This First) This is not an entry-level role, and it is definitely not a "sit behind a desk and wait on leads" job. We give our reps an incredible amount of freedom to run their territory—but that freedom comes with a catch. You must be an elite organizer and a fierce self-starter, or you will not last here. There are no safety nets or babysitters at PMG. If you need a boss standing over your shoulder to keep you focused, map your route, or remind you to log your activities, save yourself the time and don't apply. We expect you to own your day like a business owner, manage your CRM data in real-time, and execute with discipline. What You'll Do (The Hustle)
The Toolkit:
You'll pitch a powerful mix of radio advertising, local sports packages, community sponsorships, website builds, and Google optimization (SEO) programs.
Prospect Daily:
You'll be out on the street, shaking hands, attending community events, and building real relationships with local business owners. Manage the Pipeline (The Non-Negotiable): You'll track your data in real-time, log your field notes immediately, and keep our CRM immaculate.
Close and Deliver:
You'll conduct discovery meetings, present custom marketing proposals in person, close the business, and retain your clients through excellent service. Who Thrives Here You're wired to compete, build trust, and take pride in doing things the right way. You'll likely thrive in this role if you: Have a proven track record in outside sales, relationship sales, or B2B growth. Are self-motivated, competitive, and highly accountable. We offer a stable Base Salary PLUS uncapped commission . You get the security of a base check, but your earning potential is entirely up to your hustle.
