We're looking for an accomplished Account Executive with a proven track record of growing commercial HVAC service revenue through strategic account management, consultative sales, and long-term customer relationships. Experienced in selling preventive maintenance agreements, repair services, retrofit projects, and energy-efficiency solutions to commercial and industrial clients. Skilled at identifying customer needs, developing tailored service strategies, and collaborating with operations teams to deliver exceptional results while exceeding sales and retention goals. Berger Engineering is an established HVAC construction and service organization providing commissioning assistance, equipment start-up, warranty support, and ongoing service solutions throughout the commercial market. Position Summary The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with commercial customers, growing service agreement revenue, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients regarding HVAC maintenance programs, repairs, equipment upgrades, and energy-efficiency solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial HVAC service accounts. Develop new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer relationships. Promote and sell preventive maintenance agreements, repair services, equipment replacements, and retrofit solutions. Conduct customer site visits to assess HVAC service needs and identify opportunities. Prepare proposals, service agreements, and Quoted repairs. Collaborate with service managers, technicians, and project teams to deliver customer solutions. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities for system improvements, energy savings, and capital replacement projects. Negotiate contract renewals and service agreements. Track sales activities, replacement parts and opportunities using company software (Service Trade). Meet or exceed revenue, retention, and profitability goals. Stay informed on industry trends, building systems, and HVAC technologies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience. Experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical services, facilities management, building automation, or related industries preferred. Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills. Ability to understand technical HVAC concepts and communicate value to customers. Experience with company software (Service Trade) and Microsoft Office. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
