Job Description

What You Will Do:
- Build strong grower relationships: Actively engage with customers, understand their operations and production goals, and maintain consistent communication. Building trust and rapport is essential for long-term success.
- Drive ag sales growth: Implement sales strategies, manage your sales pipeline and grow business within your assigned agriculture territory. This includes identifying opportunities, closing deals and meeting sales targets.
- Stay informed about ag equipment, technology and trends: Continuously learn about the John Deere agriculture lineup, precision ag solutions and shortline products you're selling. Stay current on market and farming trends so you can educate customers and provide tailored solutions.
- Self-motivation and organization: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and self-motivation.
What You Will Need:
- Prior sales experience and training: Having a background in agriculture, equipment, or related sales will be beneficial.
- Understanding of local ag market conditions : Ability to learn specific farming practices, seasonal cycles and customer needs in your area is essential for effective sales strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Effectively communicate with growers and decision-makers and build trusted relationships.
- Excellent customer service skills: Providing exceptional service before, during and after the sale ensures long-term customer partnerships.
- Tech savvy: Comfort using technology, CRM tools and emerging ag technology solutions, while adapting to continuously changing equipment advancements.
- Valid work authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.
