Job Summary As a Residential Estate Landscape Maintenance Account Manager , you are the trusted steward of some of our most distinctive private landscapes. This role is rooted in fine gardening and horticultural excellence , not commercial groundskeeping. You will oversee a portfolio of high-end residential properties, guiding the long-term health, beauty, and evolution of each garden. You'll partner closely with homeowners and estate managers, lead skilled gardening crews, and apply horticultural knowledge to elevate plant performance, seasonal interest, and overall garden quality. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone who values detail, plant care, and pride of workmanship. You won't just manage maintenance — you'll care for living landscapes , mentor gardeners, and help properties reach their full potential. What You'll Do Serve as the primary account manager for assigned residential estate gardens , building trust through expertise, responsiveness, and discretion Develop and refine customized garden maintenance plans based on plant needs, seasonal cycles, and client goals Conduct regular, detailed property walks focused on plant health, pruning quality, soil conditions, and aesthetic standards Proactively identify horticultural issues and opportunities, offering thoughtful recommendations to enhance garden performance Cultivate relationships with clients by communicating clearly and professionally regarding plant care, seasonal priorities, and long-term garden planning Lead, coach, & mentor fine gardening crews, reinforcing horticultural best practices, craftsmanship, teamwork & safety Perform quality inspections to ensure work reflects high-end residential estate standards Manage account budgets related to routine maintenance as well as enhancement work Identify and propose enhancements such as seasonal color, specialty pruning, plant replacements, or garden improvements Participate in client walk-throughs and seasonal planning discussions Support seasonal initiatives and special projects as needed What Makes You a Great Fit 3+ years of experience in residential estate landscaping, fine gardening, or horticulture-focused landscape management Solid horticultural knowledge, including plant identification, pruning techniques, irrigation principles, and plant health care Appreciation for detail, garden aesthetics, and long-term landscape stewardship Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise and educate discerning clients Comfortable managing budgets and understanding the business side of residential accounts Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & Outlook) Valid California driver's license Ability to lift 20-50 pounds and work outdoors as needed Bachelor's degree in Plant Sciences, Horticulture, or a related field (preferred, not required) Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Work Environment & Physical Requirements Regular outdoor work in residential garden settings and private estates Exposure to soil, plants, pollen, fertilizers, and natural landscape materials Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and detailed site inspections Occasional exposure to equipment noise during garden operations Why This Role Matters This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in plants, people, and places .
