State Farm agents are independent contractors that market State Farm insurance and financial services products. Competencies Expected for This Role Enthusiastic and motivated to assist customers with insurance and financial services to help them manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. No previous insurance experience is needed, however sales and service experience is a plus. As an Agent Team Member, you will receive: Hourly pay plus monthly incentive/commission Group retirement Medical insurance stipend Life insurance Paid time off Opportunity for advancement within my office Additional Desired Abilities/Competencies Prior insurance sales and/or service experience required Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening People-oriented Dedicated to customer service Must have applicable license or must obtain applicable licensing requirements. Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services. Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification. Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options. Additional Details This position is in-person and hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00 pm.
