Job Description
Hourly Pay:
$15-$18/hr The Account Representative I - Charge Entry is responsible for receiving and validating fee tickets from practice locations and completing and submitting super bills for provider services. Manages work flow and achieves monthly goals of productivity. Checks batches as they are received and prioritizes functionality to stay within acceptable departmental guidelines. Communicates with billing liaisons and supervisor for receipt of missing charges at end of each day. Checks accuracy of batches received from clinics for missing or incorrect information. Communicates with physician billing liaison and supervisor in order to assist practices to resolve. Reviews fee tickets for charges, for appropriate modifiers and coordinating diagnosis. Communicates with practice for necessary corrections on fee tickets. Verifies insurance information is accurate. Maintains information received from practices to accurately post CPT and ICD-10 codes. Forwards all unresolved complex/problem questions to leaders. Minimum Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Minimum Work Experience 6 months Health care revenue cycle experience Required 6 months Experience in a healthcare insurance billing Preferred Baptist Health Care is a not-for-profit health care system committed to improving the quality of life for people and communities in northwest Florida and south Alabama.
