Job Description

The Billing Liaison works directly with the physician enterprise central business office staff, corporate scheduling physician office liaison, and physician enterprise leadership and staff to resolve issues. This position assists with improving processes at practice locations to improve revenue cycle outcomes. This position will research, track, present findings, provide education, and maintain ongoing monitoring of improvement of revenue cycle initiatives within practices. This position will work closely with corporate marketing to update and maintain all revenue cycle information for ebaptisthhealth.org website, including policy and regulatory updates. Minimum Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Bachelor's Degree Business, Health Care Administration, Marketing, Public Relations Preferred Minimum Work Experience 1-3 years Relevant revenue cycle experience (patient access, financial assistance, insurance billing, patient and/or insurance collections, reimbursement, customer service, payer contracting, or coding. Required 1-3 years Experience in a physician office or CBO administrative role Preferred Responsible for knowing all receptionists, pre-certification and patient financial counselor job duties as well as performing these on a daily basis. Knowledgeable of understanding and compliance with Baptist Health Care Physician Enterprise policies and procedures. Knowledge of all payer authorization requirements. Assist in developing policies and procedures to better the process with management. Works directly with patients, providers and staff problems accounts and/or issues. Resolves issues timely. Researches all controllable denials and communicate findings to appropriate personnel to prevent errors in the future and identify trends. Conduct bank bag audits on a monthly basis. Oversees communication with hospital staff to ensure proper notification is obtained for procedures done on an inpatient basis. Works directly with individual practices revenue cycle outcomes by identifying trends, improve processes and communicate with appropriate staff. Works directly with division leadership and marketing to update and revenue cycle material for ebaptisthealthcare.org.
