POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Accounting Supervisor will possess the ability to analyze issues and think critically, while identifying the global impact across the Revenue Cycle with a solution oriented approach. This role will be responsible for ensuring financial viability by preforming established revenue cycle processes that enable and expedite the billing and collections of reimbursement related to services rendered. The Patient Accounting Supervisor must possess the mindset to independently solve problems and supervise the team to achieve positive outcomes for the organization.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
Extensive knowledge of payment policies, payer regulations and guidelines to ensure proper reimbursement from all sources. Demonstrates Lean concepts in daily activities Creates an engaging work climate while inspiring and motivating individuals and teams to independently achieve outstanding performance Assist with the education/training of new hires and assists with continued training for existing team members Oversees and sometimes performs the daily job duties of subordinate positions when needed Reviews and identifies trending issues to obtain root causes and provide recommendations on workflow modifications Completes special projects as assigned by Director/Manager and all additional tasks in a timely manner Actively lead team meetings/discussions pertaining to follow-up processes, communicating and presenting in a professional manner Responsible for supervising, interviewing, orienting, developing, ongoing/mid-year/annual performance management, feedback timekeeping, coaching and disciplinary actions, and retention of associates Determines work schedules and manages the time-keeping system (Kronos) for applicable staff members Effectively handles all internal and external communication including face-to-face interactions, telephone calls, and e-mails.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
One (1) year in a leadership role in a Healthcare environment.

Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or relevant field.
Work Experience:
Three (3) years in a leadership role in a Healthcare environment.
Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined. May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle. Benefits
