Job Summary As our Meyer Pro Sales Account Manager in Libertyville, IL, you will sell physical equipment including insulation blowers, air duct cleaning vacuums, and insulation removal vacuums. Your primary customers are contractors and tradespeople in insulation, HVAC, and restoration, as well as building professionals and rental centers. This is an equipment-focused sales role — not software or SaaS sales. You will manage the full sales cycle, from inbound inquiries and quoting to closing deals and growing existing accounts. This role is best suited for candidates with experience in mechanical, industrial, or contractor equipment sales, or those with hands-on experience working in trades-related industries.
What You'll Do:
Respond to customer inquiries about insulation, air duct cleaning, and related equipment Recommend the right equipment based on contractor needs and job applications Prepare quotes, proposals, and product specifications Manage customer interactions and opportunities within CRM systems Process orders accurately and efficiently Identify and pursue new sales opportunities Manage the full sales cycle from lead to close Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and repeat customers Collaborate with internal teams to deliver practical, job-ready solutions To thrive in this role, you feel confident : Selling physical equipment to contractors and tradespeople Communicating mechanical concepts clearly and practically Managing multiple accounts and priorities at once Working independently and taking ownership of your sales pipeline Paying close attention to detail when quoting and processing orders Influencing decisions and closing sales Continuously learning product lines and industry applicationsQualifications:
2+ years of experience selling physical products, preferably in industrial, mechanical, or contractor-focused environments (not software or SaaS) Experience working with contractors, HVAC professionals, restoration specialists, or similar trades is preferred Working knowledge of at least one of the following: HVAC systems, air duct cleaning, insulation, or related contractor equipment and applications Mechanical aptitude and ability to discuss equipment specifications confidently Basic math skills for preparing accurate quotes and proposals Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales activity Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on industry or trade experience Our ideal candidate : Has a strong balance of sales experience and mechanical knowledge Is dependable, reliable, and accountable Works well both independently and as part of a team Enjoys interacting with customers and managing sales cycles Adapts well to shifting priorities Is self-motivated by goals and driven to achieve resultsAdditional Information:
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role offers a base salary of $45,000- 55,000, with an estimated annual commission of $12,000
- 16,000 and bonus potential of $5,000
- 7,500 for meeting goals.
Pay:
$62,000.00- $78,500.
