ACCOUNT SALES REP
(Small Format/On-Premise) 236 S Collins Ave, Macomb, IL 61455 From $40,000 a year - Full-time From $40,000 a year - Full-time Account Sales Representative Starting salary of $40,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. An Account Sales Representative works with our sales team to make sure customers are happy with the products and services they receive. We are recruiting for an ASR supporting Small Format and On-Premise accounts within the Hancock County area. In general, the role of an Account Sales Representative is to: Call on and build relationships with convenience store, small store, restaurant, bar, and other on-premise owners/managers. Ensure product availability by checking stock, rotating product, and maintaining coolers, shelves, and displays. Sell promotions, displays, and new products. Negotiate for prime product placement and increased visibility. Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships throughout the territory. Coordinate with route drivers and other team members to ensure excellent customer service.
What You'll Do:
Visit customer locations to take orders and enter them into a handheld computer system. Check stock levels and ensure display materials are being used correctly. Make sales calls to customers to: Sell additional products; Negotiate better product placement; Introduce new products and programs; and Ensure customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain relationships with on-premise accounts, including restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. Identify and pursue new on-premise business opportunities within the territory. Submit all orders by the daily deadline. Use company systems to improve customer and company profitability. Find and contact inactive, former, and potential new customers. Report customer service or delivery issues to your supervisor. Organize returns, including damaged product, saleable product, and reusable materials. Assist with displays as needed and ensure all product dates meet company standards. Determine customer point-of-sale material needs and coordinate delivery. Attend sales meetings regularly. Have:
High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. Driving record that meets company standards. Sales experience preferred. What You Need to
Be Good At:
Sales, prospecting, and customer service. Building and maintaining customer relationships. Basic computer and math skills. Following written and verbal instructions. Occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Frequently push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk, and climb stairs. Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, wet, and damp environments.
