Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Service Manager / Shop Foreman for a leading equipment rental client. This individual will oversee the daily service operation, ensuring all equipment is repaired, maintained, and rent-ready. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with coordination of technicians, dispatching, and operational management. This person plays a key role in keeping the branch running efficiently and ensuring customer needs are met quickly.

Day-to-Day:
Manage technician workload across both shop and field teams Coordinate dispatch and scheduling of service work Oversee repair workflow and manage shop backlog Ensure equipment is repaired and ready for rental Support complex diagnostics or repairs as needed Track work orders, parts inventory, and equipment status Address team performance, priorities, and operational issues We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. - Exposure to dispatching/scheduling
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable with computer systems/admin work
- Leadership mindset with ownership + accountability
- Equipment rental or contractor background
- Experience with competitors (United, Herc, EquipmentShare)
- High-volume diesel repair shop experience
- Experience supporting both field + shop operations
