Job Description The Carries Sales Representative is primarily responsible for securing capacity for our customers needing to transport their freight. This is a high energy position actively working with customer carriers and other transportation companies to negotiate rates and secure coverage/service to our customer base. This position requires a high volume of communication via phone, email, online, TMS systems and more. Role & Responsibility Respond to customer's request for pricing and availability and recommend alternate products when appropriate. Manage Quotation process, provide direction on pricing when needed. Deliver excellent customer service by accurately responding to customer inquiries in a timely professional manner and update that information in a database with customer information. Communicate clearly and accurately through multi-media channels (telephone, E-mail, Teams chat, SharePoint etc.). Procure new carriers by phone prospecting and increase customer acquisition allowing the maximization of revenues and margins. Participate in Inbound and Outbound Marketing Campaigns to increase sales and profitability Skills Needed •Driven to generate leads by utilizing negotiation finesse. "Hunter" mentality to execute sales deals. Ability to multi-task between several transactions, while delivering results for customers. Ability to build relationships to gain retention of existing carriers and customer accounts. Strong communication skills when speaking with customers, co-workers, account managers and company management. Conduct and maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and transparency with operational colleaguesand leadership. Minimum Requirements High school or equivalent required Word, Excel, and general computer proficiency
