Full Job Description Description:
The Regional Account Manager is a unique position to serve as the high-impact commercial leader at BSP KY, where you will command the success of our regional accounts by architecting multi-year growth strategy, and leveraging our 40-year legacy of technical excellence to deliver a best-in-class integrated, cradle to grave, molding and complex assembly solutions. Key Responsibilities ?
Strategic Account Leadership:
You will serve as the vital link between regional market leaders and our Lexington-based production, utilizing deep expertise in injection molding and assembly to transform complex customer requirements into high-performance manufacturing success. ?
Account Architecture:
Develop and execute multi-year growth strategies for regional accounts, ensuring alignment between the client's roadmap and our production capabilities. ?
Commercial Management:
Lead complex contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and "piece-price" breakdowns. ?
Technical Liaison:
Bridge the gap between the customer's engineering teams and our internal design/tooling departments. You will need to speak the language of resins, cycle times, mold flow analysis, and tolerances. ?
Program Oversight:
Partner with Project Managers to ensure APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) milestones are met on time. ?
Market Intelligence:
Monitor automotive trends, specifically the shift toward EV light weighting and sustainable polymers, to position our molding solutions as the "best-in-class" choice. ?
Regional Coordination:
Sync with our plants across North America, to ensure seamless delivery and localized support for regional vehicle platforms.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications ?
Experience:
5+ years in Technical Sales or Account Management within the manufacturing industry required or in the automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 industry, preferred. ?
Technical Expertise:
Understanding of plastic injection molding processes, tooling, and secondary operations (e.g., assembly, painting, or sonic welding) preferred. ?
Industry Knowledge:
Fluency in automotive quality standards (IATF 16949) and customer-specific portals/requirements, preferred. ?
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or Business; an MBA is a plus but not a substitute for "on-the-floor" experience. ?
Travel:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally. ?
Core Competencies:
Utilize complex RFQ spreadsheets and navigate automotive margins through aggressive negotiation and agile problem-solving to ensure delivery without sacrificing profitability
