Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Account Representative to join our team! Duties Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid claims and resolving billing discrepancies efficiently. Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate recording of debits & credits using accounting software. Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, or telemarketing to address inquiries and negotiate payment arrangements. Review medical billing details, including CPT coding, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and medical terminology, to ensure compliance and accuracy. Perform account analysis and reconciliation to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly. Utilize financial software to process transactions, generate reports, and support revenue cycle management activities. Assist with account reconciliation tasks, ensuring all financial records are precise and up-to-date. Qualifications Proven experience in medical collection, accounts receivable, or related financial roles within healthcare settings. Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding standards, and medical terminology. Familiarity with accounting principles such as debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in financial software and accounting software used in healthcare finance environments. Excellent phone etiquette combined with customer service skills to handle sensitive client interactions professionally. Solid understanding of revenue cycle management processes from claim submission to payment posting. Ability to interpret financial concepts accurately and apply negotiation skills effectively in collections scenarios.
