Job Description

Position Overview The Resident Account Representative is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the facility, including billing, collections, insurance verification, and resident accounts. Key Responsibilities Billing & Revenue Cycle Manage Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing processes Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances Work denials, appeals, and reimbursement issues Receive and receipt payments in an accurate and timely manner. Financial Operations Ensure accurate census tracking and payer source updates Manage and oversee business office functions in records, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Oversee resident trust accounts and financial records Reconciliation of bank statements. Support month-end processes, payroll functions and financial reporting Resident & Family Communication Serve as a point of contact for residents and families regarding billing questions Explain financial responsibilities, insurance coverage, and payment expectations Maintain professionalism and empathy in sensitive financial discussions Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility billing regulations Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation Prepare for audits and support regulatory reviews Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Knowledge of healthcare billing systems and software Proficient in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Experience in skilled nursing/ long term care facility is a PLUS!
Qualifications:
Experience as a Business Office Manager or similar role Background in Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing Experience with accounts receivable, collections, and revenue cycle management Associate Degree in Business or Accounting (PREFERRED) (2) years' experience or any combination of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position. (PREFERRED)
Pay:
$22.59 - $25.00 per hour
