Job Description:
The Wholesale Account Executive is a revenue-driving sales professional responsible for managing and growing a high-volume book of wholesale accounts across multiple cannabis brands. This role owns the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and onboarding new customers, to expanding existing relationships, executing promotions, and consistently exceeding aggressive revenue targets. This is a performance-based, KPI-driven role designed for experienced cannabis sales professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and can manage complex orders across flower, vapes, infused products, and concentrates. Success in this role requires strong closing ability, operational precision, and proactive account management that directly influences production planning and inventory strategy. This role is not transactional—it is strategic, relationship-driven, and performance-measured. High performers will have clear visibility, growth opportunities, and influence across sales, production, and brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth & Account Management Own and grow a defined wholesale territory and account portfolio, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned revenue goals.

Actively prospect, onboard, and convert new wholesale customers while expanding share of wallet within existing accounts.

Reactivate dormant and cold accounts through strategic outreach, promotions, and product education.

Present and sell a multi-brand portfolio, tailoring product mixes to buyer needs, price tiers, and market conditions.

Forecast demand and provide sales insights that inform manufacturing, inventory, and launch planning. Sales Execution & Customer Experience Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale customers, delivering a best-in-class B2B experience.

Conduct sales outreach via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits to secure and grow orders.

Guide customers through the wholesale ordering platform and menu, answering product, pricing, and availability questions.

Resolve order issues, substitutions, credits, and delivery challenges quickly and professionally. Order Management & Administration Receive, verify, and process purchase orders with 100% accuracy.

Issue invoices, manage manifests, and ensure all required documentation is completed and distributed correctly.

Coordinate closely with Distribution and Transportation teams to track fulfillment and delivery status.

Ensure all documentation (manifests, invoices, METRC photos, signed delivery paperwork) is completed, distributed, and archived properly.

Maintain accurate CRM records, customer profiles, pricing agreements, and sales notes. Compliance & Financial Accountability Ensure all accounts are approved by AR prior to fulfillment and remain in good standing.

Maintain strict adherence to state and local cannabis regulations at all times.

Support timely collections by ensuring invoices, credits, and documentation are accurate and submitted correctly.

Uphold company policies related to pricing, discounts, payment terms, and promotional funding. Marketing, Brand & Market Presence Maintain an accurate and up-to-date wholesale menu, ensuring product descriptions, photos, and pricing are correct.

Collaborate with Marketing on product launches, digital assets, and sales tools.

Work with Brand Ambassadors to schedule pop-ups, demos, and in-store activations.

Manage samples, promotional materials, and vendor-supported programs within approved guidelines.

Attend strategic industry events to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in account management or B2B sales (cannabis preferred).Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue and performance targets.

Strong organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple accounts, brands, and priorities simultaneously.

Comfortable working in a KPI-driven, performance-accountable environment.

Proficiency with CRM systems, wholesale platforms, and sales reporting tools.

Reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned territory.

Strong understanding of cannabis retail buying behavior and market trends.

Experience selling across multiple product categories and price tiers.

Full-time role, minimum 40 hours per week.

Availability to support industry events, pop-ups, and customer needs, including occasional weekends.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
