Equipment Rental Specialist

Rent N Save is a locally owned and operated equipment rental shop. We pride ourselves on providing our local communities with the right equipment and expert advice for their home and professional projects. We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused individual to join the team in our Owatonna and Austin locations. The Role This is a perfect position for someone looking for a stable, long-term position in the spring/summer months. This role will be partially at the front desk helping customers and partially in the yard loading, unloading and preparing equipment for rentals.

Key Responsibilities Customer Support:

Greet customers, answer phone inquiries, and provide sound advice on tool selection and project needs.

Rental Management:

Process rental agreements and payments using our point-of-sale system.

Equipment Care:

Perform basic inspections, stage equipment for pickup, and assist with light cleaning/maintenance to ensure tools are "rental ready".

Yard & Shop Support:

Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment as needed.

What We're Looking For Reliability:

We need someone who values punctuality and takes pride in a job well done.

Experience & Wisdom:

A background in trades, DIY, or previous customer service is highly valued.

Communication Skills:

Ability to explain technical equipment in a clear, friendly manner to customers of all experience levels.

Tech Literacy:

Comfort using a computer for basic transaction processing.

Physical Ability:

Capability to stand for periods and lift/move equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Schedule & Benefits Hours:

3-4 days per week (approx. 24-30 hours).
