Job DescriptionJob Description We are currently seeking a sales account manager, with a passion for outdoor activities, to expand our business. This position offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing and innovative company. As a sales accounts manager, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining customer relationships through accountability and excellent customer service in a consumer-packaged products market.
Essential Duties:
Manage and grow new and existing business account relationships, with a focus on outdoor activitiesGenerating and developing new business accounts to increase revenueAbility to generate and maintain sales forecasts for assigned accountsMaintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray company in a positive mannerResponsible for meeting and exceeding seasonal and annual sales goalsManage monthly sales projections and position to goalsMust have an understanding of selling and inventory reports in order to develop a plan to proactively affect salesParticipate in marketing activities such as social media, trade show prep, etc.

Develop work plans and be able to travel to accounts for appointmentsProvide regular feedback on product performanceManage Open Order reports each week with warehouse operations to ensure all orders are on-time and any potential account or shipping issues are proactively resolvedMitigate any customer concerns, complaints or issues, including product defectsThe duties listed above are the key duties of an account manager but are not limited to these duties. The company may expand them as it deems necessary to meet the needs of the company and its sales efforts. Skills Capable of preserving confidential and sensitive informationEffective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skillsAble to prospect new accountsVery strong communication skills in writing and verbalGood team player and able to work under pressure
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education/training that demonstrates the required knowledge and experience.2+ years' experience in consumer-packaged account management. Experience in sporting sales a plus.

Travel is required, to meet potential customers and open new accountsBe able to demonstrate independent judgment with proven success completing projects from beginning to end.

Must be a self-starter, solution focused and a proactive problem-solverGood phone presence and a high comfort level initiating conversation with customers is imperativeMust have consistent communication and follow-through skillsAbility to multi-task, and work well across divisionsDetail oriented with strong organizational, presentation and merchandising skillsProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelTravel requiredMust have a positive attitude and want to be part of an entrepreneurial and team-focused environmentCompensationAnnual salary range will depend on experience. This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime. This position is eligible for standard company fringe benefits. Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods.
