  • Full-time We are seeking an experienced Senior 3PL Customer & Carrier Account Manager to lead and grow strategic shipper and carrier relationships within our third-party logistics operation.
This role is ideal for a high-performing logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and consistently balances customer satisfaction, carrier performance, and profitability. In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts and core carrier partners—operating as a strategic advisor, problem solver, and operational leader. Key Responsibilities Customer Account Management Build and maintain long-term, strategic customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution Own customer satisfaction, retention, and service-level performance Serve as the primary escalation point for service, pricing, and operational challenges Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and retention Anticipate customer needs and proactively mitigate potential service disruptions Translate customer expectations into clear, executable operational plans Carrier Account Management Develop and manage strong relationships with core carrier partners (asset-based and brokerage) Negotiate rates, capacity commitments, and service-level agreements Monitor and manage carrier performance metrics, including on-time delivery, tender acceptance, claims, and compliance Proactively secure capacity during market fluctuations and peak demand periods Resolve carrier-related issues, including billing discrepancies, service failures, and operational disputes Operational & Strategic Execution Oversee daily execution to ensure service levels, margin targets, and compliance standards are consistently achieved Analyze lane performance, market trends, and cost drivers to optimize network efficiency Partner cross-functionally with operations, tracking, and compliance teams to enhance execution and visibility Identify and implement process improvements to drive scalability and operational efficiency Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, or logistics account management Proven success managing complex shipper and carrier relationships Strong understanding of truckload and partial (LTL/volume) transportation Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, manage margins, and analyze freight data Experience with TMS platforms and logistics reporting tools Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Preferred Qualifications Experience managing enterprise-level or strategic accounts Familiarity with contract logistics, dedicated capacity, or managed transportation programs
