Charlotte, NC OVERVIEW Position Summary The Plumbing Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and maintaining client relationships focused on plumbing systems and services. This role requires technical knowledge combined with strong sales and customer service skills to promote McKenney's plumbing solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management Perform all functions needed to maintain a customer account, including sales, correspondence, customer relations, project supervision, scheduling, drawing review, and estimation. Identify and qualify prospective clients in commercial, healthcare, data center, and higher education markets. Presentation Present plumbing products and service solutions emphasizing efficiency and innovation. Performance Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client needs. Maintain CRM records and provide accurate sales forecasts. Collaborate to develop customized solutions. Post-sale follow-up to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Education High school diploma or GED. Experience 3 years of sales experience in plumbing or mechanical contracting. 5 years of commercial plumbing experience. Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail. Experience in consultative or B2B sales. Knowledge Proficiency with CRM and sales software. Technical understanding of commercial plumbing systems and related products. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of energy-efficient plumbing technologies. Med-Gas Knowledge. Skills Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain client relationships. Ability to understand technical details and translate them into business value. Professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust. Exceptional work ethic; upholds company values and demands the highest standard of conduct from self and others. Highly adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing customer demands. License State Plumbing License. Travel Primarily office-based with travel to client sites, meetings, and events.
