Job Description
The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth in assigned accounts while building and maintaining customer relationships. In this role, the Key Account Manager will work to maximize profitable sales opportunities by understanding the complexities of their respective channel of business as well as the unique needs of key customers. The Key Account Manager must develop and successfully sell customer plans and programs that align with and support both the customer's and Coke Northeast's fundamental business objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with key customers in order to maximize sales and profit and ensure proper execution of pricing and promotional programs
Use a Collaborating for Value approach to understand customer's business needs, issues and opportunities and work to develop viable solutions
Optimize placement and appropriate brand / package availability to ensure assets meet minimum performance requirements
Develop and implement volume and profit generating programs and creative marketing promotions with customers
Conduct regular business reviews with customers in order to monitor results, assess relationship, re-affirm strategies linked to needs and steward value created for the customer
Execute sales forecasting and ensure proper execution of pricing, promotional programs and Customer Marketing Agreements (CMAs)
Prepare and review monthly volume reports in order to track and monitor performance, identify variances from plan, and ensure customer outlets are optimized
Act as system-wide expert on channel market conditions and trends as well as customer strategies and operating philosophies Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
5+ years of experience in a direct sales and/or account management role
Large Store and beverage industry experience preferred
Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer focus and negotiating skills
Solid organizational and problem solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
