Job Description

Oversee the purchasing, maintenance and productive operation all equipment owned by The Hesse Companies. Update and maintain accurate equipment records in our Project Management, Fleet Management, and ERP software. Review with all Operation and Project Managers all current and future equipment needs. Provide upper management with a three year capital equipment expenditures list. Present quotes and recommendations for purchasing equipment and obtaining approval. Work with finance to determine terms of purchase. Insure and register equipment and secure all documents and maintain files. Manage EZ-Pass tags and gas cards and ensure efficient usage. Coordinate with employees the maintenance and service of company provided vehicles. Coordinate with Service/Shop Managers maintenance and repair of all equipment. Maintain parts inventory and service records. Control operating costs and review & approve parts and repair invoices. Coordinate with Operation and Project Managers all current equipment needs. Oversee equipment moves and equipment location utilizing GPS. Review and approve all equipment rentals. Update yearly company owned equipment rental rates and ensure proper charging of equipment to jobs. Maintain production records of all equipment including fuel consumption. Review equipment revenue generated, repair costs, and production to determine if equipment should be replaced by selling, trading or scraping. Qualifications 3-5 years plus of experience managing heavy construction equipment. Understanding of equipment operation and systems. Knowledge of fleet management & project management software. Ability to analyze data and report to management. Strong organizational and management skills. An Equal Opportunity Employer.
