  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily operations on a general contractor project site in Chatham, NY.
This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining project schedules, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities Manage subcontractors, vendors, and labor crews Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Monitor project progress and maintain schedules Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are met Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders Maintain daily logs and progress reports Identify and resolve issues proactively to avoid delays Qualifications 5+ years of experience in construction supervision or site management Strong knowledge of general construction practices and safety standards (OSHA preferred) Ability to read and interpret construction documents Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with basic construction management software/tools is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience working with general contractors on commercial (DOT) projects OSHA 30 certification Background in carpentry, civil, or structural work Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Health insurance (medical) Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement Work Environment Outdoor construction site setting Must be able to stand, walk, and lift materials as needed Exposure to varying weather conditions How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
