Job Description

Frontier Forest Products is seeking an experienced Lumber Trader / Account Manager for our Tulsa, Oklahoma location. This individual will play a key role in managing customer relationships, analyzing market conditions, supporting inventory decisions, and driving profitable sales growth.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $90,000 base, dependent on experience, plus performance-based incentives We are looking for a disciplined, relationship-driven lumber professional who understands how to balance market knowledge, inventory strategy, and customer trust in a commodity business. Frontier Forest Products is a successful 21-year-old company that has weathered the storms of our industry and is positioned to grow and expand over the next 10 years. We are a Midwest-based building materials distributor with a strong focus on commodity lumber, while also buying and selling other building material goods. We value a supportive culture, strong communication, accountability, and helping our team members succeed. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a book of business through strong account management and relationship development Buy and sell commodity lumber and other building material goods in a fast-moving market Analyze sales activity, inventory levels, margin performance, and market trends Help position inventory based on demand, pricing, and market direction Communicate proactively with customers regarding market conditions, opportunities, and product availability Travel to meet with customers 1-2 days per month, including occasional overnight travel Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and excellent customer service Maintain strong organization and communication through Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Qualifications Experience in lumber trading, lumber sales, or account management preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to read data and use it to support decisions Strong relationship-building and communication skills Ability to assess situations clearly, think critically, and remain steady in a fast-moving environment Ability to make practical, fact-based decisions and separate emotion from decision-making when needed Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organizational skills and follow-through Experience in commodity lumber distribution is preferred
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
