Job Description

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Liquor & Wine, we are seeking a motivated and dynamic Inside Sales Representative to drive business development in alternative packaging within the liquor and wine space, with an emphasis on the spirits industry. This role involves building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline, winning new customers, expanding relationships with existing client base, identifying opportunities to grow accounts, processing orders, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role will also be expected to maintain and grow our one-way keg business across markets. As a key contributor to our sales team, you will focus on promoting and selling our portfolio to meet and exceed sales targets. This role will also support the promotion of Petainer's core competencies and value proposition to help secure new business and tender opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Management:
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of copackers, distributors, distilleries, wineries and RTD producers.
  • Proactively reach out to potential and existing customers in liquor, wine and RTD markets to promote alternative packaging opportunities and secure sales.
  • Understand our proven go-to market strategy by harnessing our capabilities and take those values to market to expand opportunities with established distributor relationships.
  • Establish relationships with current and future accounts to effectively forecast.
  • Order processing, fulfillment and appropriate after-sales service.
Market Awareness:
  • Increase customer and potential customer awareness of Petainer's expanded alternative packaging solutions.
  • Diligently communicate with contacts to understand future opportunities & projects.
  • Keep up with regulatory changes - particularly relating to the TTB.
Order Processing & Follow-Up:
  • Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure customers are fully stocked and prepared for seasonal demands.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries or issues promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the spirits or liquor industry.
  • Proven experience in the packaging industry.
  • Knowledge of liquor products and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and identify sales opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for the liquor / wine industries and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Certification in wine or spirits (e.
g., WSET or similar) is a plus but not required.
