Founded in Detroit, Michigan in 2009, we spent our early years helping Detroiters use parcel data to combat challenges of widespread vacancy, blight, and foreclosure. Our mission shows up for us everywhere, from individuals to the largest enterprise organizations, and through our Data With Purpose program for nonprofits and educators. The RoleWe are seeking a motivated and results-driven Key Account Manager to help grow our client base and drive revenue growth. In this role, you will focus on identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, building client relationships, and supporting the sales pipeline from prospecting through deal execution.

You will work closely with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to expand market presence and support long-term business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive, ambitious, and eager to grow into a future leadership role as the company scales.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, outreach, cold calling, and market researchGenerate qualified leads of new logos, maintain a healthy sales pipeline and close deals. Conduct discovery calls, meetings, presentations, and product/service demonstrationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with an existing book of business with key accounts, as assigned by management, to drive retention & growth therein Drive new customer acquisition through signed license agreements with RegridUnderstand customer needs and recommend solutions aligned with business objectivesConduct market and competitor research to identify emerging opportunities and industry trendsMaintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline updates, and client interactions in CRM systemsTrack activity metrics and contribute to revenue and growth targetsAttend networking events, conferences, and industry meetings to build relationships and increase brand awarenessProvide client feedback and market insights to internal teams to help improve offerings and customer experienceWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related roleExperience in B2B sales environmentsExperience in DaaS, GIS, geospatial technology, or related industries is a plusExisting industry network is beneficial but not requiredStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to build rapport and develop client relationshipsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesGoal-oriented mindset with a passion for sales and business growthStrong organizational, planning, and time-management skillsExperience using CRM platforms such as Hubspot or similar toolsProficiency in standard business softwareStrong problem-solving and presentation skillsExperience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment preferredExperience working remotely is a plusHow We WorkA couple things you should know about us:

First, we are pretty obsessed with parcels & parcel data (the lines that define property boundaries). You dont have to be on day one to work here, but fair warning our focus is singular, and our mission is to bring this fundamental unit of geographic organization to everyone.

Second, we have a collection of rules to work by that we call our Plats. Here are a few that should resonate for you if this role is going to be a fit:1. No what without why.

Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range:
