We are a high-growth Chinese company specializing in the Recreational Vehicle(RV) industry, with Strong capabilities in product development and manufacturing for both OEM and Aftermarket(AFM)segments. Our US subsidiary is well-established and serves as a key pillar in our global strategy. We are now entering a pivotal phase of expansion, focused on deepening our market presence by leveraging our core strengths from China to meet the specific needs of the American market. Position Summary The OEM Sales & Support Technician plays a critical role in supporting Fogatti's Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers in the RV industry. This position combines technical expertise with customer relationship management to ensure Fogatti products are installed correctly, operate reliably, and meet customer needs. Acting as both a technical troubleshooter and a trusted advisor, the Sales & Support Technician works on-site and remotely to diagnose and resolve issues, conduct proactive installation audits, provide training, and strengthen long-term partnerships with OEM accounts. Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Troubleshooting- Serve as the primary technical contact for OEM customers regarding installation, operation, and warranty-related issues.
- Conduct on-site installation and testing audits to ensure Fogatti products are properly integrated into customer units.
- Investigate customer-reported issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Retrieve and return defective or failed products to Fogatti headquarters for further engineering analysis when necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure technical solutions align with customer requirements. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customer production staff, engineers, and management.
- Provide professional, tactful, and clear communication to instill confidence in Fogatti's products and support.
- Deliver technical training to OEM partners to help them avoid recurring issues and improve product knowledge.
- Respond urgently to critical customer needs to minimize production downtime, while also scheduling routine visits to proactively prevent problems. Sales & Business Development Support
- Identify opportunities for new applications or product adoption within existing OEM accounts.
- Provide product demonstrations and support sales initiatives in collaboration with the sales team.
- Collect customer feedback and market insights to share with Fogatti's product development and sales leadership.
- Support the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, and warranty claim coordination. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate service logs, issue reports, and installation audit records in Fogatti's CRM system.
- Track and report on failure trends, warranty concerns, and account health to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and share feedback with the broader technical and sales teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Education & Experience
- Experience in a technical sales, field service, or applications engineering role, preferably in the OEM or RV industry. Technical Skills
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Familiarity with Fogatti's product or willingness to quickly learn. Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both engineers and non-technical staff.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and professional approach.
- Confidence in handling urgent, high-pressure situations while maintaining positive customer relationships. Other Requirements
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer facilities (locally and occasional outside of Elkhart area).
