Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a results driven Sales and Operations Manager to lead our sales operations across the United States. The ideal candidate will have experience with business-to-business sales and logistics within the animal feed industry. This role will focus on day-to-day sales, customer relationship, and logistics management for our fishmeal and fish oil product lines. Duties and Responsibilities Sales Management:
Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with commodity buyers, including feed manufacturers, brokers and traders, to drive sales and expand market reach. Identify new business opportunities in the pet food industry.
Account Management :
Build and manage strong relationships with our US partners with focus on excellent customer service.
Logistics :
Direct the logistics team to coordinate all formats of transportation (trucking, containerized), storage, and delivery of fishmeal and fish oil, ensuring timely and cost-effective distribution.
Contract Negotiation :
Draft, review, and manage sales contracts, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Quality Management :
Build strong relationships with our internal QA team and external auditing parties to ensure client specifications are always met. Resolve all claims in timely manner with cross functional team.
Risk Management :
Evaluate and mitigate market risks such as price volatility and geopolitical factors impacting trade.
Regulatory Compliance :
Stay US Feed regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies that influence fishmeal and fish oil supply.
Financial and Performance Reporting :
Monitor sales performance, analyze profit margins, and provide regular reports to manage open contracts and client accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and forecasting reports as requested by the Executive committee.
Market Analysis and Strategy :
Conduct comprehensive monitoring of local and global fishmeal and fish oil markets, analyze supply and demand trends, and formulate trading strategies designed to optimize profitability
People Management :
Lead and train the export coordinator and customer service rep by conducting annual 360 reviews and regularly scheduled check-ins. Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in business, ideally in supply chain, finance, economics, or sales and marketing. 5-8 years of professional experience in commodity trading, sales account management, with a particular focus on commodities, feed, or FMCG sectors. Reasonable understanding of domestic and international logistics and Incoterms. Possesses a commercially oriented mindset, complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment and maintenance of robust relationships with suppliers and customers. Demonstrates strong logical reasoning, numerical aptitude, and advanced analytical capabilities, paired with a high level of business acumen. Exhibits meticulous attention to detail, consistently delivering high-performance outcomes. Driven, goal-focused, and capable of thriving under pressure to meet and exceed expectations. A proactive self-starter with a positive attitude, execution-oriented approach, and a commitment to achieving objectives. Adaptable, resilient, and open to diverse working environments, with a demonstrated ability to navigate challenges in dynamic markets and complex supply chains. Proven leadership and team management expertise, coupled with superior negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Highly motivated to embrace new challenges and deliver innovative solutions. Well-organized and adept at managing competing priorities and tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel up to 25% to cultivate and strengthen professional relationships with customers/ suppliers and must have a valid passport.
