DESCRIPTION
As a Sr Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will increase revenue by developing and managing strategic customer relationships across our diverse portfolio of scientific products and solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, using your scientific expertise and consultative sales approach to help them advance critical research, development, and manufacturing initiatives. You will collaborate with technical specialists, product managers, and support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. What will you do?
PLAN PERFORMANCE & SALES SKILLS
Consistently achieve or exceed all assigned sales targets & demonstrate use of strategic selling skills to grow current and new business.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION
Develop, write, and implement a business plan for assigned territory annually, updated quarterly. Regularly develop & lead customer facing meetings, events, presentations and customer proposals with assistance of support teams. Use data sources to analyze and capitalize on territory opportunities with the greatest value. Maintain and increase current customer database through Thermo Fisher's customer relations management (CRM) system (Salesforce). Communicate key activities, trends, and changing customer dynamics as well as account objectives and action to management regularly.
SALES TRAINING
Participate in programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Thermo Fisher philosophy, policies and procedures. Overnight travel may be required for these trainings & meetings.
Role success profile:
Experience Bachelor's degree required, preferred in the Biology field.
  • 7 plus years of relevant experience required, proven track record of success to AOT and Life Sciences Sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Other relevant experience includes bench/research (scientific-related market/workflow) and/or sales/customer facing experience in industry/retail/hospitality.
