Job Description

This position is a
DIRECT HIRE ROLE
from day one
Responsibilities:
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of personnel, including new hire paperwork, employment verifications, orientations, and system access Maintain accurate employee personnel files, payroll records, certifications, and training documentation in compliance with industry and regulatory requirements Support recruitment efforts including posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates Process weekly or biweekly payroll for hourly employees, including field labor Review and verify timecards, job assignments, cost codes, overtime, and deductions prior to payroll submission Process certified payroll reporting for prevailing wage or public works projects, as required Track employee classifications, wage rates, union status, and job changes to ensure accurate payroll processing Assist with benefits administration, enrollment changes, deductions, and employee inquiries Assist with payroll reports, audits, reconciliations, and documentation for internal review or external requests Support compliance with wage and hour laws, prevailing wage requirements, OSHA documentation, and company policies Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, document preparation, and correspondence Assist with billing reconciliation, receivables and payables Order and maintain office supplies and assist with administrative support for project teams as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in human resources, payroll in construction or related industry Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Account Experience with construction payroll, job costing or certified payroll reporting Knowledge of prevailing wage, union agreements or public works requirements is preferred Experience with HRIS, payroll or timekeeping systems Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook Strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Hours are: Monday through Friday - 8am to 5pm The salary is up to $70K a year based on experience
