Job Summary The Industrial Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with industrial customers by providing consultative sales support, technical product knowledge, and reliable service solutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned industrial accounts, supporting customer needs related to electrical distribution, engineered products, and project execution. The Industrial Account Manager partners closely with internal sales, operations, and vendor teams to deliver value-driven solutions while driving revenue growth and margin performance. Essential Functions Account Management & Sales Growth Manage assigned industrial customer accounts, serving as the primary relationship owner. Develop account plans to grow revenue, expand product penetration, and strengthen customer partnerships. Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new industrial business as assigned. Maintain regular contact with customers through site visits, meetings, and follow-up communication. Technical & Solution Support Provide technical product guidance and application support related to industrial electrical products and systems. Assist customers with product selection, system solutions, and project requirements. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and technical specialists for complex applications. Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation as needed. Quoting, Orders & Execution Prepare and manage quotes, pricing requests, and order processing in coordination with Inside Sales and Pricing teams. Ensure accurate order entry, delivery coordination, and issue resolution. Monitor project timelines, material availability, and customer expectations. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Purchasing, Operations, Credit, and Warehouse teams to support account execution. Work with vendor partners and manufacturers' representatives to support product solutions and pricing. Support internal teams with customer-specific requirements, documentation, and reporting. Customer Service & Relationship Management Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently, escalating as needed. Promote Inline Electric Supply's value proposition, capabilities, and service standards. Represent Inline Electric Supply at customer meetings, industry events, and job sites. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by sales leadership. Required Skills & Competencies Strong account management and consultative sales skills. Working knowledge of industrial electrical products and applications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales systems. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Three to five years of experience in industrial sales, electrical distribution, or related roles required. Technical or project-based sales experience is strongly preferred. Valid driver's license with an approved motor vehicle record. Compliance with company drug-free workplace requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods during the workday. Ability to travel regularly to customer sites, job locations, and branch offices. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. What We Offer ??
