What This Job Actually Is You're the person who keeps commercial insurance accounts running. When a contractor needs a certificate at 9 AM for a job site, you handle it. When a payment bounces and a policy is about to lapse, you're on the phone getting it resolved before it cancels. When a customer calls confused about their renewal, you walk them through it clearly and make sure the follow-up actually happens. This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who already understands commercial lines, can navigate carrier portals without hand-holding, and can manage 15-20 concurrent service tasks without dropping any. What a Typical Day Looks Like You'll handle 15-20 inbound and outbound calls — resolving billing issues with carriers, processing endorsements, issuing certificates, chasing down missing documents, and following up on open items. You'll work in EZLynx, Progressive, Hartford, and other carrier portals daily. Some days you'll handle a frustrated customer dealing with a rate increase right after helping another one file a claim. It's fast-paced and detail-heavy. You need to be someone who can juggle without dropping. You'll work alongside a small, tight-knit team. We buy each other tacos, ring bells when we close deals, and hold each other accountable. Key Responsibilities- Service inbound commercial accounts across GL, BOP, Property, Workers' Comp, Commercial Auto, and more
- Process endorsements, certificates, audits, and renewals accurately and on time
- Proactively manage past-due payments and prevent policy lapses before they happen
- Communicate clearly with clients about coverage, documentation, billing, and next steps
- Track all activity in our LavaFlow CRM and EZLynx — if it's not documented, it didn't happen
- Coordinate with producers on binding, renewals, and account strategy
- Own your open items. Follow up without being reminded. Close loops. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial lines experience in an independent agency setting
- Active Texas Property & Casualty license
- Working knowledge of GL, BOP, Property, Workers' Comp, and Commercial Auto
- Experience with agency management systems (EZLynx preferred) and carrier portals
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of concurrent tasks with strong follow-through
- Professional phone presence with customers who are sometimes frustrated, confused, or in a hurry
Preferred:
- Multi-carrier or MGA experience
- Familiarity with small-business risk classes across multiple industries

- 75,000 base salary depending on experience, plus performance bonuses
