The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of basic accounting principles, excellent phone etiquette, solid communication skills, and strong attention to detail. A strong sense of urgency is required to accomplish daily tasks and goals. This is a great opportunity to support our customers and team members! Garland, TX pay range: $19.47 to 24.01 per hour Essential Functions Review customer sales orders in a timely manner to determine the best approach to proceed to production while meeting customer expectations and maintaining standard processes and guidelines. Possess the ability to negotiate with customers and make quick, logical decisions to settle on an outcome to collect funds while staying within guidelines. Handle challenging situations with customers in a professional manner and firmness. Contact customers through daily phone discussions, email, or fax correspondence to set up payment arrangements. Resolve issues or questions with customers concerning their account, such as missing invoices, account credit inquiries, terms, down payments, credit card information, etc. Process credit card transactions and other electronic payments methods. Manage assigned territories of accounts by communicating and following up with customers to resolve outstanding account issues while providing necessary correspondence and direction as needed. Discuss unusual customer requests, outstanding issues, or demands with the Senior Account Services Specialist. Place customer accounts with outside collection agencies as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements High School Graduate/GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in collections. Four(4) years related accounting, business, or equivalent experience preferred. Above average skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, and customer service. Good mathematical aptitude and abilities required. Well organized, with good numerical skills. Ability to handle high volumes of incoming calls, manage workflow, and deal with problem customers as required.
