https://eplogistics.bamboohr.com/careers/74?source=aWQ9MTk%3D Job Description Evans Pro Logistics is seeking a dependable, hands-on Onsite Logistics Account Manager to manage our Houston delivery account. This position is responsible for overseeing route drivers , supporting daily route operations, maintaining a strong working relationship with the customres, and making sure drivers are getting off to their morning and afternoon routes efficiently. This is not a remote or desk-only position. The Account Manager must be onsite every day, actively managing the route operation, communicating with drivers, resolving issues quickly, and protecting the customer relationship. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, punctual, firm but respectful, and comfortable managing drivers in a fast-moving logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Be onsite daily to manage morning and afternoon route operations Ensure drivers arrive on time, prepared, and ready for assigned routes Help drivers get loaded, organized, and dispatched efficiently Monitor approximately 14 drivers assigned to the Houston account Maintain daily communication with Evans Pro Logistics leadership Maintain a strong working relationship with the management team Address driver issues, route delays, customer concerns, and operational problems quickly Ensure drivers follow company expectations, safety standards, customer service standards, and route procedures Verify that drivers are properly reporting time, mileage, route completion, and delivery issues Identify attendance, safety, customer service, or performance concerns before they become account problems Assist with driver onboarding, training, follow-up, and performance documentation Help coordinate backup drivers and route coverage when needed Fill in on routes when necessary to protect service commitments Report accidents, property damage, customer complaints, attendance issues, and service failures immediately Support a professional, respectful, and accountable driver culture Requirements Transportation, courier, delivery, warehouse, dispatch, or logistics experience preferred Prior experience managing drivers, routes, contractors, or field staff strongly preferred Must be able to work onsite daily in the Houston / Sugar Land area Must be dependable and punctual, especially for early morning route launches Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills Must be comfortable holding drivers accountable Must be professional when communicating with customer management Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be organized and able to track multiple drivers, routes, and daily issues at once Must have a valid driver's license Must be willing and able to fill in on routes when needed Must be comfortable using mobile apps, spreadsheets, email, and basic reporting tools Preferred Qualifications Experience with last-mile delivery, courier routes, tire delivery, warehouse operations, or transportation management Experience working with independent contractors or owner-operators Experience managing customer accounts or vendor relationships Experience training drivers on route procedures, professionalism, safety, and customer service expectations What We Are Looking For We need someone who takes ownership. This position is best for someone who can lead from the floor, not from the sidelines. You must be able to communicate clearly, solve problems, hold drivers accountable, and step in when route coverage is needed.
