Full Job Description Role Overview:
The Client Account Manager is responsible for owning the success, growth, and retention of assigned client accounts. This role serves as the primary relationship owner post-sale while proactively identifying and driving revenue expansion opportunities. The position requires a balance of client relationship management, consultative selling, and internal coordination to ensure clients receive maximum value from Yellow Dog Software.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and grow a portfolio of client accounts, including expansion revenue and retention Proactively identify, develop, and close upsell opportunities Maintain consistent outreach to clients through calls, emails, and meetings Conduct regular account reviews to drive product adoption and long-term success Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication Prepare proposals and contracts with clear, accurate expectations Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and next steps in CRM Collaborate with internal teams to support client needs and initiatives Identify risks within accounts and take action to support retention Answering and responding to existing client sales inquiries via phone and email Learn Yellow Dog product and offerings in order to provide needs assessments with clients
Performance Expectations:
Success in this role is measured by: Growth in revenue within assigned accounts Retention and reduction of client churn Consistent activity and engagement with clients Effective management of pipeline and opportunities Strong communication and follow-through with clients and internal teams
Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills Consultative mindset with the ability to identify and recommend solutions Ability to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently Strong organizational and time management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Experience with CRM systems (Zoho preferred)
Ideal Experience:
Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or retail environments Experience working with inventory systems or operational workflows Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships
