As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Sales Account Manager with specific sales experience in the cannabis industry to service the Northwest WA territory. The NW Washington Sales Territory primarily encompasses Seattle to Bellingham. The ideal candidate will live in or near Everett and have a proven track record in outside sales, a deep understanding of the cannabis market, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for driving sales, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional service to our clients within this diverse geographical region. A company vehicle will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the cannabis industry. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction. Communicate with store buyers via phone, email, and visits to the stores. This is a traveling position, so the ideal candidate will love to get out and meet with the shops. Provide product support and customer service to existing retailers Provide samples and talk to new retail stores about our products Deliveries to Retail Stores Be proactive and manage your schedule Support retail vendor days and other industry events Attend monthly sales meetings in Vancouver, WA This job description reflects the position's essential functions; it does not encompass all the tasks that may be assigned
Salary Range Qualifications DOE:
Our base-pay compensation structure is designed to reflect the specific qualifications and contributions of a given candidate. We seek individuals who meet the basic job requirements and bring a depth of experience, a network of impactful industry contacts, and a comprehensive understanding of cannabis products. Applicants must understand that not everyone will qualify for a pay ranges range, and that 'placement' within these tiers depends heavily on demonstrable expertise and proven success in external sales roles within the industry. All of these skills are not required for consideration but may help.
Salary Tiers Upper Range Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 6+ years in external sales roles within the 502 industry or related sectors. Experience from this candidate tier may include 502-related budtending experience but must also include extensive brand area-sales experience.
Achievements:
Demonstrable success in expanding a customer base and entering new markets through strategic external sales efforts.
Industry Contacts:
A robust network of high-level industry contacts, including executives and key decision-makers.
Leadership:
Proven leadership in driving sales teams or major sales projects.
Skills:
Expertise in negotiation, strategic sales planning, and account management.
Education:
Bachelor's or higher degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred; however, extensive sales or industry-specific sales credentials also considered.
Product Knowledge:
Advanced understanding of 502 products, including the latest trends and regulatory compliance issues.
Responsibilities:

Trade Shows Mid-Range Qualifications:
Experience:
4-6 years of sales experience within the 502 industry or closely related fields, with some experience in external sales roles.
Achievements:
Consistent performance in meeting or exceeding sales targets with evidence of steady growth in sales responsibilities.
Industry Contacts:
Established network of relevant industry contacts capable of fostering new business opportunities.
Skills:
Proficient in CRM software, conflict resolution, and able to independently handle negotiations.
Product Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of 502 products, enabling effective customer service and tailored sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategic sales initiatives and explore new market opportunities. Leverage industry contacts to secure major contracts and develop partnerships. Utilize extensive product knowledge to enhance customer interactions and provide value-added solutions. Vendor days Educational Tour leads at the Processing plant.
Trade Shows Lower Range Qualifications:
Experience:
4-6 years of sales experience, preferably within the 502 industry.
Achievements:
Demonstrates potential by consistently achieving sales targets and understanding market dynamics.
Skills:
Effective communication and basic sales strategy skills.
Education:
Training in sales techniques.
Product Knowledge:
Solid foundational knowledge of 502 products, with an ability to learn and adapt quickly to new products and market changes.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategic sales initiatives and explore new market opportunities. Leverage industry contacts to secure major contracts and develop partnerships. Utilize extensive product knowledge to enhance customer interactions and provide value-added solutions. Vendor days Educational Tour leads at the Processing plant.
Trade Shows Minimum Employment Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to legally work in the U.S. Must be able to pass a background / Motor Vehicle Report check (Recent/Active DUI charges are not covered under company insurance to drive company vehicles) Must have a valid Washington State driver's license Must have 502 sales experience and product knowledge Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends Must be professional in appearance and behavior Must have excellent communication in English both orally and in writing Must have strong computer skills including Word and Excel Extensive product training will be required, knowledge of the Cannabis science is a HUGE plus. Must have the ability to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as needed Must be comfortable driving for the majority of the day and able to spend a few nights on the road throughout the month Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
