Job Description
Job Summary:
The Supervisor supervises staff on all shifts and assists in ensuring that all required program requirements are successfully completed. The Supervisor is a high-performance leader who facilitates meaningful teamwork, solid partnerships, and progressive staff skill-building to generate positive outcomes for the service participants, staff members, and the agency. The Supervisor is the main point of contact during the shift to ensure compliant, therapeutic, and effective service delivery in the inpatient environment.Excellent opportunity:

$23.50-$31.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. Essential Functions include but are not limited to : Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.- Ensures residential program, environment, and staff operate according to licensing regulatory and contractual requirements. Implements all Morning Star policies and procedures.
- Lead, supervise, and train assigned staff to ensure the delivery of evidence-based services in the milieu setting.
- Supports staff by establishing training and professional development plans with those they supervise by conducting regular supervisions with staff. Provides consistent and professional coaching and fosters accountability and retention for behavior support staff.
- Ensures that staff misconduct is adequately addressed and documented; consults with the Program Manager and Director of Human Resources to provide and monitor staff corrective action as necessary.
- Collaborates with direct supervisor to ensure that safety, evidence-based practices, supervision, and clinical case consultation are addressed in weekly meetings and individually with staff members as necessary and per policy.
- Ensures each shift has adequate staff to maintain required staffing ratios, appropriate safety, and supervision for the milieu.
- Manage, and document staff schedules, filling vacant shifts.
- Completion of assigned staff Performance Evaluations; collaborates with direct supervisor to support strengths and work areas related to staff performance.
- Makes sure that the program environment meets all safety, sanitation, and therapeutic expectations. Expectations are established by agency policy and procedure, state and federal law, accreditation standards, etc.
- Oversees the daily program, ensuring it complies with all requirements and that proper documentation is completed after every shift including medications and case management.
- Responsible for medication and case management as assigned.
- Transport clients using the MSBR vehicle adhering to MSBR policies.
- Be available for staffing coverage, crisis intervention and problem resolution.
- Participates in after-hours "on-call" rotation.
- Maintains professionalism and unity when communicating with clients, their families, and other representatives; Preserves client confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to ethical standards, agency policy and procedures, and Morning Star's mission, vision, and values.
- Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or representative.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assigned Behavior Support Staff Qualifications:
- Effective, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Able to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Sound critical decision-making ability. Ability to successfully work with the special needs of children in care.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience working directly with children, or two years of social service education and one (1) year of experience working directly with children, or four years of social service education may be substituted for the required experience.
- Additional experience of six months of residential care experience preferred.
