As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Patient Account Specialist to join our Patient Accounts team. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting both our patients and providers while helping maintain smooth financial operations and delivering outstanding customer service every step of the way. What You'll Do:
Maintain strict patient confidentiality while handling sensitive financial and medical information. Submit insurance claims accurately and resolve claim edits and denials in a timely manner. Assist patients with billing questions, payment arrangements, copays, deductibles, and insurance coverage. Process and reconcile payments from patients, insurance companies, and government payors. Utilize insurance portals and EMR systems to verify coverage and review claim processing. Work collaboratively with providers, insurance companies, and coworkers to ensure accurate account management. Support collection efforts, overpayment resolution, and payment plan setup. Provide excellent customer service and compassionate communication to patients and families. Assist with departmental projects and contribute to improving patient satisfaction and workflow processes. What You Bring to the
Team:
Experience:
One to two years of healthcare insurance billing, claims processing, or patient accounts experience preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication.
Abilities:
