Job Description

Our Wine Sales Representative is responsible for representing our company and partner suppliers, ensuring the highest level of service and professionalism with our customers and potential customers. This role is responsible for all activities related to market development and sales, including but not limited to, developing a market for our products; identifying, developing and maintaining customer relationships; presenting products that align with customer needs; facilitating, hosting and supporting trade shows, company sponsored events, customer sponsored events, tasting events and dinners; driving sales and increasing market share and distribution of our products; educating self and customers on our portfolio and products, merchandising products.
Duties include:
Brand Representation Represent our company brand with professionalism, honesty, integrity and quality Understand our portfolio and educate customers on available wines Facilitate / host supplier market visits and events Market and Customer Acquisition Working with company leadership, understand potential market, our current market position and establish customer acquisition and wine placement goals Meet customer acquisition and wine placement goals Identify optimal visit frequency and complete all required tracking reports Sales Manage and grow existing customer relationships Identify and acquire new customer relationships Meet defined sales objectives Build sales presentations, pricing sheets, and tasting notes to facilitate sales Create and manage marketing with customers to include point of sale materials Maintain placement on menus and on shelves, merchandising for optimal display, sales and quality Attend weekly and quarterly sales meetings Submit daily orders by cut-off time Complete weekly reports Event Management Facilitate all aspects of events and tastings as needed to ensure products are promoted Schedule tastings, events and dinners with all customers Ensure events are scheduled on the company calendar with adequate notice to prepare Utilize branded materials and toolkit This is a commissioned sales role responsible for the highest level of professionalism and excellence in customer service and teamwork. This is a full-time M-F role; and at a minimum, will include one evening per week and one weekend day per month. This role is expected to team with other sales professionals within this market and the overall company, and to seamlessly work with our delivery team in support of the customer.
Qualifications for this role include:
3+ years of outside wine sales experience Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record and book of business Experience working with and/or within restaurants Masterly level knowledge of wine A growth mindset and a continued desire to learn Superior relationship management and customer service focus Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft Office products Technology proficient / capable Must have a positive, "can-do" attitude Strong business acumen Must be insurable, drug-free and able to pass a background check Must be able to drive with no limitations and lift at least 40 pounds Drug test and background check are required
